The other night we came home drunk and I booked us flights to New Orleans for Thanksgiving week.
We both have an attachment to that place - hers more blood than mine. My lineage passed through there at some point, but she's actually descended from one of the founding families.
We both love it there, and anyone who knows us knows that we're planning to move there, although that plan keeps getting delayed. No worries, we'll get there eventually. But at least we get to spend a week there together, and I have no doubt that it'll be better than any of my previous visits.

Not only that, but the trip will start with seeing the Pixies in Chicago the night before we leave. Wow.
